PERBEDAAN RESISTANCE EXERCISE MENGGUNAKAN THERABAND DENGAN PROPRIOCEPTIVE EXERCISE TERHADAP KESEIMBANGAN REMAJA

LATAR BELAKANG : Penelitian sebelumnya telah menyelidiki mekanisme adaptasi terkait dengan latihan keseimbangan melalui sikap satu kaki. Mengingat potensinya untuk meningkatkan keseimbangan stabilitas ke tingkat tinggi, pelatihan keseimbangan satu kaki tampaknya menjadi pendekatan alternatif untuk program pelatihan keseimbangan yang lebih tradisional yang telah menggunakan latihan bipedal.
TUJUAN : untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang berbeda dari resistance exercise menggunakan theraband dan proprioceptive exercise pada keseimbangan kaki pada remaja.
METODE : Penelitian dilakakukan pada program studi fisioterapi, Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Surakarta, periode Mei s/d Juni 2021. Sampel 64 orang remaja usia 19-24 tahun dipilih secara purposive. Variabel dependen adalah keseimbangan kaki. Variabel independen adalah resistance exercise menggunakan theraband dan proprioceptive exercise. Data keseimbangan tubuh diukur dengan menggunakan excursion balance test. Data di analisis menggunakan uji t independen.
HASIL : Rata-rata selisih skor keseimbangan kaki kanan sebelum dan sesudah proprioceptive exercise (Mean=17.24; SD=13.55) lebih tinggi dari resistance exercise menggunakan theraband (Mean= 16.68; SD= 13.03) dengan p= 0.866. Perbedaan rata-rata skor keseimbangan kaki kiri sebelum dan sesudah resistance exercise menggunakan theraband (Mean=17.30; SD= 10.91) lebih tinggi dari proprioceptive exercise (Mean= 16.85; SD= 11.20) dengan p= 0.947.
KESIMPULAN : Proprioceptive exercise lebih baik untuk meningkatkan keseimbangan kaki kanan daripada resistance exercise menggunakan theraband. Resistance exercise menggunakan theraband lebih baik meningkatkan keseimbangan kaki kiri daripada proprioceptive exercise.
