Abstract
Introduction: Traumatic anterior shoulder dislocations are the most common type of trauma. When the shoulder is dislocated anteriorly the capsule, ligaments and labrum are often torn. Restoring the anatomy of the shoulder back means repairing the torn labrum back to the edge of the glenoid. This is called Bangkart Repair. This technique can be performed surgically with arthroscopic techniques or open techniques. And what is important for the outcome after Bankart arthroscopic repair is that it is highly dependent on consistency and participation in physiotherapy treatment.
Purpose: To describe the physiotherapy treatment program for anterior shoulder dislocation recontruction with arthroscopic bankart repair.
Methods: The method used in this paper is a case study with a case presentation to Ms. S, who is a 19 year old woman. On July 31, 2019 performed a Bankart Repair operation on his left shoulder which was diagnosed with a torn labrum due to dislocated on his shoulder, then 3 days after the operation the patient came to the clinic for physiotherapy treatment which had been carried out for 22 weeks. The measuring instruments used are the VAS scale, an examination of active movements in the shoulders and the CKC Upper Exterimity Stability Test which is done at the end of the 22nd week after physiotherapy treatment is carried out according to the guidelines that have been made.
Results: From the results of the CKC Upper Extrimity Stability Test, the average number of touch was 23, so it can be categorized that the patient has good stabilization after physiotherapy treatment.
Conclusion: The administration of treatment based on the four principles of applying controlled pressure to the shoulder and optimizing treatment outcomes for patients according to the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists which has been applied by the authors gave good results for patients.
