Perbedaan Pengaruh Pemberian Four Square Step Exercise dan One Legged Stand Exercise dalam Meningkatkan Keseimbangan pada Lansia di Puskesmas Muaro Bodi Sijunjung

ABSTRACT
Balancing is the main cause of elderly to fall. It can be improved by a variety of balance exercises.The purpose of this research was to determine the differences of balance in the elderly before and after Four Square Step Exercise (FSSE) and One Legged Stand Exercise in Muaro Bodi Sijunjung Community Health Center.The design used in this research was Quasi Experimental with two group pretest-posttest design. 10 respondents were done Four Square Step Exercises and others given One Leggged Stand Exercise. The results of the t-test of Four Square Step Exercise had significant with p = 0,000. Then, the mean before and after doing One Leggged Stand Exercise were 22.90 and 40.10 with P = 0.005, the mean before were 21.80 and after 37.70 . Based on the results of this research, the Four Square Step Exercise (FSSE) was better than One Legged Stand Exercise to improve elderly balance.
