Abstract
Aim: The background of this article is to know the association between sleep quality with postural stability and gait in elderly.
Method: This is an article literature review used secondary data in the form of study research journals sourced from Google Scholar.
Result: The results of this study are poor sleep quality can affect sensorimotor function and it occurs in postural stability and gait problem in elderly. Poor sleep quality in elderly causes disruption on balance of the sensomotor process which affect postural stability being swayed. Poor sleep quality and degenerative process in elderly causes change on Center of Pressure which affected gait. Postural instability will affect gait so that there will be fall risk in elderly.
Conclusion: In conclusion, the quality of sleep can affect postural stability and gait in the elderly.
